What Is Trading Account?

The Zoomex Trading Account consolidates spot and contract trading into a single account, streamlining the overall trading experience. This account-level margin system currently supports 10 cryptocurrencies as collateral, allowing unrealized profits to be used as margin for trading across different product types. Trading Account offers two margin modes — Isolated Margin and Cross Margin — catering to various risk preferences and trading strategies, thereby enhancing both risk management and trading flexibility.

Margin Modes Supported

Under the Cross Margin mode, Trading Account utilizes the total asset value of the account — including unrealized profits — to maintain and initiate derivative positions. This approach enhances capital efficiency by allowing profits and losses from different derivatives to offset each other and by calculating margin at the account level rather than on individual positions.

Additionally, for traders who prefer a setup similar to a standard account, the Isolated Margin mode is also available. This mode allows traders to allocate margin to individual positions separately, thereby limiting potential trading losses to the specific margin allocated for each position.

The table below shows the various account margin modes supported by Trading Account.

Margin Mode for Accounts Margin Asset Mode Supported Products
Isolated Margin Mode Margin is calculated individually for each position. Orders placed within one position do not affect other positions, thereby minimizing the potential loss of margin allocated to that specific position. Single-Asset Mode: Each asset, such as USDT, can only be used for its corresponding contract. For example, USDT can only be used for USDT-margined contracts.

  2. USDT-Margined Contracts

  3. Inverse Contracts

Cross Margin Mode Profits and losses from different products can offset each other, allowing gains to be used for opening new positions. Multi-Asset Mode: All assets are collateralized in USD and can be used for spot margin and derivatives trading.

  2. USDT-Margined Contracts

  3. Inverse Contracts

Note: Once upgraded, you will no longer be able to switch back to your current spot and contract accounts.
